Actalent is hiring multiple full time Dental Assistants!! Job Description

This Dental Assistant role offers the opportunity to support a growing dental practice by providing high-quality chairside assistance and comprehensive treatment support. You will work closely with dental providers across a variety of procedures, including surgical treatments, while receiving ongoing training and development. The position is ideal for someone with at least six months of dental experience who is passionate about dentistry, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

• Provide chairside assistance during general dental procedures, ensuring providers have the instruments and materials needed for efficient treatment.

• Support surgical procedures twice a week by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during surgery, and helping manage instruments and supplies.

• Conduct post-surgery follow-ups with patients on non-surgical days, reinforcing treatment plans and helping monitor recovery.

• Use and understand dental terminology to communicate effectively with providers and team members and to document procedures accurately.

• Assist with digital impressions when needed, helping capture accurate data for restorative and other dental treatments.

• Prepare, organize, and maintain treatment rooms and equipment before and after each appointment to support a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment.

• Demonstrate humility and openness to learning by actively participating in training, seeking feedback, and applying new techniques and protocols.

• Contribute to a positive patient experience by maintaining a professional, friendly demeanor and showing passion for dentistry in everyday interactions.

• Arrive reliably and on time for scheduled shifts, supporting consistent patient flow and teamwork throughout the day.

Monday-Friday 830am-430pm

$25-$30/hr

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
