Location: City of Albany

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to lead and grow landscape architecture services across public and private sector projects in the Eastern Region. This role combines business development, client management, project leadership, and team mentoring while supporting the continued growth of an established multidisciplinary practice.

Key Responsibilities Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with clients and teaming partners.
  • Support business planning and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to branding and market positioning efforts.
  • Lead the preparation of major proposals and business pursuits.
Leadership & Management
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with regional and discipline leaders to manage project delivery.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and performance.
  • Support workload planning and team growth.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.
Project Delivery
  • Act as Project Manager and/or Client Manager on landscape architecture and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and design oversight on key projects.
  • Collaborate closely with planning, architecture, and engineering teams.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance across project teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) in New York State.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within a consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of site design, entitlement processes, and regulatory approvals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
  • Proven experience managing projects, teams, and client relationships.
