Job Summary:

• Advice and support the Dean on all academic matters of SRI SAI College
• Coordinate and direct the overall academic affairs of SRI SAI College
• Supervise the proper implementation of academic policies, rules and regulations laid down in the Legislation of SRI SAI College through department and campus Dean or any other academic Units and offices
• Facilitate the development and review processes of program curricula
• Facilitate the appointment, development and promotion of academic staff members
• Make sure that performance evaluations of the academic staff are conducted regularly and consistently
• Facilitate and coordinate the conduct of academic seminars, workshops and conferences on current academic, social, economic and scientific issues
• Assist the Dean in the preparation of the annual budget
• Takes the lead in preparing final recommendations for appointments of students to the Naval Academy.
• Prepares the NAPS Academic Calendar, the Academic Policy and Procedures Manual, the Course Compendium, and the academic portions of the NAPS Regulations and Organizational Manual.
• Represents or assists the Commanding Officer of NAPS at various meetings and conferences

Job Summary:

• Responsible for the academic oversight of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Learning Skills curricula.
• Collects meaningful data and provides frequent summaries of student progress to the Commanding Officer.
• Maintains liaison with the Provost of the Naval Academy, who is responsible for the academic oversight of NAPS, including quality of the curriculum and all related matters.
• As a member of the NAPS Executive Team, cooperates and coordinates with athletic, military, and administrative staff to provide recommendations to the Commanding Officer of NAPS on pertinent issues
• Implements and supports Naval Academy Preparatory School policy regarding academic matters.
• Guides, supervises, evaluates, and addresses gaps in all aspects of the academic program and facilities.
• Maintains the highest quality of performance by each member of the academic faculty.
• Initiates personnel actions involved in the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and promotion of the academic faculty.
• Acts as direct supervisor for the academic division supervisors.
• Promotes Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) objectives and contributes to the EEO program at NAPS.
• Assists the Commanding Officer of NAPS in the execution and maintaining of the civilian payroll budget.
• Prepares academic budgets and executes a quarterly budget in concert with division supervisors.
• Provides academic counseling and guidance to students.
• Serves as the senior member of the Academic Record Review.
