Nursing Clinical Adjunct

Major

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Coordinate with clinicians at the clinical site to make student assignments

* Reinforce on campus nursing education in the clinical setting, such as nursing skills and critical thinking.

* Ensure effective evaluations of student performance in the clinical setting

* Grade student clinical assignments

* Assist students in applying knowledge to clinical practice

* Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and student body

* Uphold the mission of the college in practice

* Promote evidence-based practice.

* Maintain current knowledge of the nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements.

* Maintain clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise.

* Function with professional accountability in clinical settings.

* Create a clinical climate that promotes positive student learning.

* Serves as a role model for professional nursing for students

* Ensure the delivery of a high level of professional nursing care to patients and clients.

* Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with Maria College nursing department and clinical partner staff, and others in the clinical setting.

* Support the mission of Maria College and represents this in the delivery of compassionate care.

Qualifications:

* Current unencumbered NYS Nursing License

* Clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise.

* Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university

Salary: $65.00 per hour
