Reports to:
Building Principal.
- Teacher of World Languages - Spanish Grades K-12
- Meets certification requirements of the State of Delaware for secondary Spanish (World Language).
- Strong content knowledge of secondary Spanish.
- Successful completion of Praxis
II exams. - Teacher who is designated Highly Qualified in Secondary World Language preferred.
- Teach Spanish to students in grades 6-8.
- Works cooperatively with all staff and parents.
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
- Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's mission statement.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Establishes and maintains open basis of communication with students, parents, staff, and administration.
- Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day consistent with contract obligations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
