Together for Youth Secure Detention is seeking to hire a full‑time Special Education Teacher to be responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating students at all levels. Duties include assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting progress. Teachers must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects and reach students with engaging lesson plans.
Qualifications- Proficient knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, staff, and external partners.
- Outstanding organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical teaching experience.
- NYS Teaching Certification.
- Proficient knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to travel.
