The Department of Anthropology seeks to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor (academic-year appointment) for the 2026–27 Academic year with teaching obligations for a large and growing undergraduate major in Human Biology. The successful candidate will teach the equivalent of three courses per semester.
Primary Responsibilities- Teaching lab sections for Human Anatomy and Physiology (AANT 316 / AANT 318), as well as upper-level courses in Biological Anthropology/Human Biology, or other courses as assigned.
- University, College, Department Service and other reasonable duties as assigned.

Department Chair - May supervise employees as assigned

- Ph.D. degree or terminal degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally accrediting organization.
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Experience in teaching human anatomy and physiology at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Ph.D. degree or terminal degree in Biological Anthropology, Biology or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Experience in teaching undergraduates in Biological Anthropology, Biology or related discipline.
- Typical office, classroom, and instructional laboratory environment.
