Job Description:About the position:
The Information Security and Digital Forensics Department at the Massry School of Business, University at Albany, State University of New York, invites applications for a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor of Information Security and Digital Forensics position, beginning Fall 2026. This is a one-year temporary appointment, with possible extensions up to two additional years, subject to successful review and university approval.
The position has a 3/3 teaching load and includes both in-person and online teaching responsibilities in our BS Digital Forensics and MS Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, and MS in Artificial programs. Courses may be related to cybersecurity, digital forensics, artificial intelligence, databases, etc.
We seek candidates who are able to teach in organized and clear ways, while providing high-quality student service. While not required, demonstrated effectiveness teaching online (including asynchronous) courses, industry experience, and engagement with emerging technologies will be viewed favorably.
Candidates should also be interested in working within a diverse academic environment, including diversity related to gender, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability status, and protected veteran status.
