The South Colonie Central School District is seeking (1) 1.0 Probationary Teaching Assistant Special Education at the High School Level for the school year.
OPENING: (1) Teaching Assistant (Special Education)– (1) High School (Grades 9-12)START DATE:
September 1, 2026 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Our ideal candidate should have;
- Teaching Assistant or Teacher (preferred Students with Disabilities) with appropriate NYS Certifications.
- Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole.
- Creativity and insight into core curriculum.
- Familiarity and experience providing instruction and support for students with emotional disabilities and/or behavioral challenges.
- Experience with students with varying abilities, solid organizational skills and willingness to facilitate hands-on activities.
According to the South Colonie Teaching Assistant Contract at least $28,838.00 depending on experience and transcripts. Competitive benefits.
