Summary
The Information Systems and Business Analytics Department invites applications for a non‑tenure‑track Visiting Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2026. This is a one‑year temporary appointment with possible extensions up to two additional years, subject to successful review and university approval. The position has a 3/3 teaching load and includes both in‑person and online teaching responsibilities in our undergraduate, MS in Business Analytics, MS in AI in Business, and MBA programs.
Courses may relate to business systems applications, including information systems design and development, business analytics, visualization, AI, databases, and statistics.
We seek candidates who can teach in an organized, clear manner while providing high‑quality student service. While not required, demonstrated effectiveness teaching online (including asynchronous courses), industry experience, and engagement with emerging technologies will be viewed favorably. Candidates should be interested in working within a diverse academic environment, including diversity related to gender, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability status, and protected veteran status.
Responsibilities- Teaching courses as assigned by the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics.

Reports to the Information Systems and Business Analytics Department Chair.

- A doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D.) in Information Systems, Operations Research, Decision Science, Applied Analytics, or a closely related field from an AACSB‑accredited college or university obtained by August 21, 2026.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness in different modalities (in‑person, asynchronous, synchronous).
- Experience in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Experience in designing and implementing experiential learning activities in the classroom.
- Experience as a designer or developer of business information systems.
