Special Education Teacher
LOCATION:
Special Education – Airline Academy / Maywood Academy / District Locations
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday @ 6 hours-7.5 hours per day depending on location
BASIC FUNCTION:
Enforcement of previously introduced skills and implementation of daily classroom routines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To carry out the organization of instructional materials and learning centers as planned and directed by the classroom teacher.
- To monitor and reinforce skills and concepts previously taught by the teacher in individual or small group learning situations within the educational environment and under the supervision and control of the classroom teacher.
- Sign language skills required for some classrooms.
SALARY: BOCES employee salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with contract language.
START DATE:
September 1, 2026 – continuous recruitment through June 30, 2027
