Job Description:

The Massry School of Business is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach (1) section of BMGT 341 (Behavioral Foundations of Management) during the fall 2026 semester. Course details are below.

  • BMGT 341 (Behavioral Foundations of Management) - 3 credit
  • Modality:
    In Person / On Campus
  • Meeting Day/Time:
    Monday/Wednesday evening sessions or Tuesday/Thursday morning sessions.
  • Semester Length: 8/24/26-12/7/26
  • Enrollment:
    Approximately 75-80 students

This foundational 3 credit course is required for all Business Administration and Accounting majors and is generally completed in the junior or senior year. It is designed to cover the theory, principles, and practices of effective organizational behavior including but not limited to motivation, teams, communication, negotiation, leadership, organizational culture, and communication.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver course content that covers the fundamental principles of organizational behavior and behavioral science in management.
  • Engage students through lectures, discussions, and the University's Learning Management System, Brightspace.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and/or participation.
  • Provide guidance and support to students regarding career opportunities in business.
  • Maintain office hours to assist students with course-related inquiries.
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD or equivalent doctoral-level degree in Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or similar field is highly desirable.
  • Previous teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
