As a SACC Youth Development Professional with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, you'll create a safe, engaging after school environment where youth can learn and grow. You will lead structured programs that support academic success, including homework help and enrichment, promote healthy lifestyles through physical activity and wellness education, and foster character and leadership via mentoring and service projects. In partnership with Club staff and families, you'll provide consistent supervision, model positive behavior, and help young people build confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily after-school and out-of-school time programs for youth in a safe, inclusive environment
  • Support academic success through homework help, tutoring, and enrichment activities
  • Lead youth in structured activities that promote healthy lifestyles, fitness, and positive choices
  • Guide character and leadership development through mentoring, service projects, and life skills workshops
  • Maintain positive, respectful relationships with youth, families, and Club staff
  • Ensure consistent supervision, behavior management, and adherence to safety policies
  • Track attendance and participate in basic reporting and evaluation of program outcomes
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of program spaces and materials
  • Communicate youth progress and concerns to supervisors and caregivers as appropriate
  • Model BGCA values and support Club-wide events and initiatives as needed
