• Facilitate lesson plan instructions to students, including 1:1 and small group sessions, and provide input and assistance in facilitating social and emotional learning components of lesson plans.
• Develop and issue educational content including notes, tests, and assignments.
• Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
• Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
• Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
• Plan and implement educational activities and events.
• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.
• Create and distribute educational content.
• Ensure the classroom is clean and orderly.
• Allocate and grade homework, assignments, and tests.
• Observe, implement, monitor and complete specific reports regarding student performance and behaviors in the classroom.
• Provide pre-crisis intervention and conflict resolution with students, including implementing and using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) principles, approved behavior modification techniques/strategies, and physical restraints.
• Comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including those of NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficient knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, staff, and external partners.
• Outstanding organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.

• Minimum of 5 years of practical teaching experience.
• NYS Teaching Certification.
• Proficient knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license; ability to travel.
