Location: City of Albany
The New York State Education Department's Office of Education Policy seeks an Associate in Education Improvement Services to support the administration of over $1.6 billion in federally funded grant programs annually. The role provides technical assistance to local educational agencies on ESSA program policy, develops subject matter expertise for assigned programs, and supports monitoring and compliance efforts. The incumbent will assist in grant applications, policy development, and training delivery to more than 1,000 school districts.
Keyqualifications:
- Master's degree
- Four years of professional experience in an education agency providing technical assistance or developing/implementing educational programs or grants
- New York State teaching certification in classroom teaching, administration and supervision, or school service (with four years teaching or student services experience)
- Knowledge of ESSA-funded programs and federal grant administration requirements
- Ability to travel 30% statewide
