Project Manager - Thermal Energy Networks
Location:
Albany, NY
ECLARO’s client advocates for energy efficiency and clean energy technology. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of Thermal Energy Networks (TENS) in New York State.
Responsibilities- Provide project management and administrative support (work planning, progress tracking, note taking, meeting planning, etc.) for the client’s TENS Roadmap, which aims to identify policy approaches, business models, workforce development, local enabling strategies, and incentives to support the commercialization of TEN technologies.
- Identify, assemble, organize, and evaluate international TEN project data to develop a database and identify trends.
- Support the client Program Manager in developing and implementing the TENS Roadmap stakeholder engagement strategy, coordinating internally across client teams and with state agencies, industry, and advocates.
- Develop TENS content for stakeholder engagement efforts, schedule and coordinate meetings, document stakeholder outcomes, and complete related tasks as assigned.
- Assist the Program Manager with oversight of consultant research projects, ensuring key individuals are included in analytic decisions, and reviewing and proofreading research work products.
- Perform copyediting for all stakeholder and public‑facing materials in coordination with client marketing and communications.
- Carry out other duties that contribute to the key outcomes of the Building Strategy and Planning Team.
- Proven project management skills, with experience executing complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change without impacting project timelines or core objectives.
- Prior experience executing stakeholder engagement strategies with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and presentation development skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive and collaborative style.
- High levels of organization and attention to detail.
- Experience in energy and building decarbonization.
- Familiarity with and strong interest in Thermal Energy Networks (low‑emission district heating/cooling) or related topics such as community energy frameworks, building decarbonization policy, geothermal, waste heat reuse, and local energy planning.
- Proficiency with IT systems: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Asana, Webex, Salesforce.
