Our client is a multi-disciplinary MEP engineering firm specializing in delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and industrial projects. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the growing team in a full-time permanent staff capacity to contribute to the design and coordination of building electrical systems.

- Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and low-voltage systems for building projects.
- Perform load calculations, short-circuit analyses, and energy code compliance reviews.
- Create and review drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines to ensure integrated MEP design.
- Participate in design meetings, site visits, and field inspections.
- Assist project managers in maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers by providing technical guidance and checking their work.
- Research new technologies, codes, and standards to integrate into projects.
- Communicate effectively with architects, contractors, and clients regarding design intent and project requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and conducting field inspections.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
- 4–8 years of experience in building electrical systems design within an MEP consulting environment.
- EIT required; PE licensure (or ability to obtain within 1–2 years) preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP required.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, IECC, and other applicable codes/standards.
- Experience with lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi
32), SKM, or ETAP is a plus. - Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
