Your new roleAs a highly skilled technician, you will primarily support the continued growth of Ramboll's Site Solutions team working on state and federal remedial and operation and maintenance projects in the northeast United States. You may also work on projects in other Ramboll practice areas. This role offers opportunities to provide immediate field support and may require remediation and operation and maintenance activities at project sites, including mixed media sampling, minor repairs of equipment, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Assisting with implementation of field programs by preparing and executing field work to characterize groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and air
- Providing technical assistance to perform minor equipment repairs, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and operation of remedial systems
- Assisting with site and/or routine inspections
- Ordering equipment and supplies for field activities
- Maintaining equipment, materials, and supplies at the office or job site
- Fieldwork may require up to 50% travel and may include overnight and occasional weekend work
- Potential to oversee subcontractors for selected operations
- Potential to interact with regulatory and client personnel during field activities
- Associate degree required; 3–5 years of experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
- Experience in field collection of groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and/or air samples
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher a plus
- Ability to carry equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift) a plus
