The Senior Process Engineer, Capital Projects sits at the intersection of process engineering, capital projects, and plant operations, with a focus on ensuring new equipment and systems are engineered and implemented in line with standards for safety, food quality, operational performance, and long-term durability. The Process Engineer partners closely with site process engineers, project leaders, third‑party engineering firms, OEMs, and cross‑functional teams to convert operational requirements into well‑engineered, practical design solutions.
The role is highly technical, hands-on, and cross‑disciplinary. Responsibilities include establishing process and design criteria, developing both front‑end and detailed engineering deliverables, reviewing technical design packages, supporting procurement activities, leading FAT and SAT efforts, and ensuring new assets are commissioned and handed over for safe, efficient, and compliant operation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead plant capital projects end‑to‑end, from initial concept and scope definition through installation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Provide technical leadership for dairy processing systems, including process design, equipment specification, system integration, and development of conceptual and detailed engineering solutions.
- Evaluate and define project viability, overseeing feasibility studies, cost estimates, process modeling, and risk assessments to support sound investment and funding decisions.
- Manage engineering execution and documentation, developing scopes of work, maintaining accurate process and project records, and partnering with CAD teams to update PFDs, P&IDs, and related drawings.
- Oversee external partners and ensure compliance, coordinating consultants, OEMs, contractors, and integrators while ensuring projects meet food safety, regulatory, environmental, GMP, and CQV requirements through installation and validation.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred, other engineering degrees considered
- 7-10 years of experience in a F&B process engineering role, preferably in Dairy
- Experience in dairy, beverage and/or aseptic processing equipment
- Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contract & schedule
