Senior Design Manager

At Springtide, a division of IPS, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join our dynamic team at our office located in Albany, New York
.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing the design phase of semiconductor facilities projects, applying exceptional project management skills, past project knowledge, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the construction process.

• Oversee the design phase of semiconductor facilities projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop comprehensive design strategies, incorporating project‑based industry best practices for basebuild and/or tool install requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to facilitate effective communication throughout the project life cycle.
• Conduct regular design reviews to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and related documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and best practices.

The salary offered for this role is between $147,000 and $197,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, construction methods, and semiconductor industry standards with exceptional project management skills.
• Expertise in basebuild and/or tool install aspects of semiconductor facilities projects is strongly preferred, depending on the defined scope of work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross‑functional teams.
• Proficient in project management tools and software.
