Facility CAD Specialist- Support Staff IV Position Summary
NY Creates is seeking a Facility CAD Specialist
- Support Staff IV to support Facilities Engineering through maintaining accurate CAD drawings, integrating as‑built data, and managing critical documentation. This role collaborates with architects, engineers, and internal teams to keep project records organized and drawings accessible, playing a key part in advancing innovative facility projects.
- Maintain building layout drawings via CAD to keep current and integrate Project As‑Built documents into site master layout drawings.
- Maintain an automated/manual Document File Retrieval System that houses both facility and tenant documents.
- Organize all documentation and records from previous projects, performing necessary clerical work including data entry, sorting, filing, and electronic binding.
- Coordinate documentation needed by off‑site architects/engineers for new design criteria; assist with distribution of drawing documentation to facilities engineering/field coordinators.
- Assist all NY Creates departments to provide drawings for new facility modifications and archived data for review of existing conditions.
- Maintain organized, clean documentation for tool install packages and enable retrieval upon request; maintain current overall tool layout drawings with tool install CM/design companies.
- Maintain strong organizational skills, handling a variety of tasks on short notice and proficiently using new software; provide guidance and research related to software the department may need to embrace industry standards.
- Assist in maintaining current and operational printing capabilities.
- Support Facilities Engineering with CAD design as directed by engineers.
- Teach and further develop NY Creates facility drawing standards; review submissions for standards accuracy and provide feedback to engineers and firms.
- Responsible for project closeout quality assurance/quality control.
- Periodically review documentation in project files.
- Coordinate closeout documents between general contractor and NY Creates.
- Work with the project manager to upload missing documentation.
- Complete project closeout QA/QC documentation to ensure NY Creates has a complete set of as‑built data and that contractors receive final payment.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in CAD design or related field from an accredited technical school, college, or university.
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a CAD trained individual in the facilities engineering organization of a major semiconductor manufacturer or supplier to the semiconductor industry.
- Understanding of CAD design symbology and drafting techniques for the required disciplines.
- Experience with Revit and/or other BIM software.
- Position contingent upon satisfactory background check; annual background checks may be required.

Salary Range: $33.65 – $38.46 per hour (rates determined by experience and education)
