Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Materials Engineering Technician with a masonry focus for a large engineering consulting firm in Albany, NY. This role involves performing field observation, inspection, and testing of masonry construction activities, including mortar, grout, reinforcing, and installation practices to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes. The technician will travel from the office to one or more job sites using a company vehicle, communicate findings with the Project Manager and client, collect and transport material samples, and complete daily digital field reports.
Strong communication skills, attention to safety, proper equipment maintenance, and a valid driver’s license with minimal infractions are required.

- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license (clean record)
- Able to background check.
- Good communication skills (will be client facing)
- 3-5 years of working in the field with Concrete, Masonry, Steel, etc. Experience leading a team
- B.S. In Civil/Structural Engineering with EIT (engineer in training)
- A combination of degree and experience
- Any additional ICC or ACI Certs
