As our new Managing Consultant with air quality compliance & permitting consulting experience, you will be part of Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. This group focuses on air quality and other environmental regulatory compliance, assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems across a variety of topics including air permit applications, emissions estimation, air compliance reporting, air dispersion modeling, and general regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Critically review and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations, with a focus on air compliance.
- Maintain client relationships and manage the development of deliverables to meet client needs efficiently.
- Serve as the technical lead overseeing consultant-level staff on complex projects.
- Estimate emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
- Support air dispersion modeling of air pollution dispersion.
- Prepare all levels of air quality permit applications and environmental reports.
- Complete EPCRA Tier II and TRI reporting.
- Apply other environmental regulatory compliance experience as additional value.
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering or a related science discipline (air quality coursework is a plus).
- 9+ years of air quality related experience.
- Strong computing skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing.
- Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply environmental regulations to real-world situations.
- Programming, database, and GIS skills are preferred but not required.

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and the creation of sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,000 - $143,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
