40 hours per week. Pay: $21.00 – $26.25 USD per hour. Line of Business:
Personal & Commercial Banking. This Retail Banker I role serves as a customer liaison, delivering TD’s brand promise by providing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking solutions and needs. The position supports the achievement of business objectives by identifying appropriate TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD.
- Proficient in products, services and routine transactions; identify opportunities to educate on bank products and services to customers.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs.
- Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight features and benefits that support customers through challenging times and life events.
- Utilize customer relationship management tools to proactively assess customers, identify solutions and conduct outbound sales activities.
- Independently resolve customer issues, errors and problems, escalating when necessary.
- Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake.
- Maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
- Participate in customer outreach, servicing and advice activities to deliver on the bank’s brand promise.
- Perform teller transactions (check cashing, deposits, transfers and withdrawals) while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to established operational policies.
- Educate customers on self‑service options and digital channels that meet their needs.
- Serve as a brand champion internally and externally, advocating for customers and providing proactive insights.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) or more years’ experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity (volunteer, education, military experience preferred).
- Teller experience preferred; must complete teller training upon hire.
- Demonstrated ability to engage customers in conversations and educate them on products and services.
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills; able to be concise, clear and consistent.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem‑solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Notary license preferred.
- Active NMLS registration required.
- Eligible for employment as a loan originator under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act.
- Eligible for registration as a mortgage loan originator under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) and its implementing regulations.
- Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and credit report, as required by federal law.
