Location: City of Albany
The Office of Mental Health is recruiting a Senior Budgeting Analyst or Budgeting Analyst Trainee to manage budgeting, tracking, and allocation of funding for the OMH Local Assistance Budget supporting over 700 providers statewide. The role includes budget development and execution, fiscal analysis, spending plan administration, staff training on fiscal procedures, and coordination with counties and providers on budget-related matters.
Key qualifications- Four to six years of experience in budget estimation, justification, and expenditure control functions (depending on level)
- Associate degree may substitute for two years of experience; bachelor's degree for four years; master's degree for five years
- Knowledge of fiscal management systems and budget development processes
- Ability to conduct fiscal and policy analysis and provide training to staff and external stakeholders
