The Budget and Policy Analyst role at New York State's Division of the Budget supports the $39.6 billion School Aid program, which funds public elementary and secondary schools. The analyst will develop expertise in education finance, work across multiple state agencies and stakeholders, and contribute to budget development, financial projections, and evaluation of school district finances. This position offers exposure to policy analysis, fiscal management, and the opportunity to influence one of the largest government budgets in the nation.
Keyqualifications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in Excel formulas and functions and Microsoft applications
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
