This Associate Health Care Management Systems Analyst position is a financial unit lead role within the New York State Department of Health's Bureau of Financially Distressed Hospitals. The incumbent will manage data submissions, track hospital subsidies, facilitate financial reporting, supervise a unit of analysts, and work directly with hospitals on cash flow and payment mechanisms to promote financial sustainability. The role supports the state's efforts to improve healthcare provider financial health and reduce reliance on state aid.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and three years of specialized experience in health care financing evaluation or health services research in finance
- One year of experience conducting public policy research and analysis in finance
- Critical thinking and analytical skills with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to solve problems independently
- Experience in accounting and trend analyses (preferred)
