** Summary of Role:
** This role will provide a high level of support to both members and internal staff as it relates to the daily operations of account operation functions, which include but are not limited to: retirement services (IRAs), online account opening, restraining orders, tax levies and record retention, while adhering to all regulatory, compliance, departmental and credit union rules, regulations, and policies.
Additionally, as needed, the Account Operations Associate will support the other business units within Operations to ensure a high level of member service is achieved and maintained.##
** Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
*** Process request for Verification of Deposit adhering to established turnaround time frames
* Perform various mail processing functions as assigned
* Perform onsite record retention and destruction, in accordance with departmental guidelines, procedures and policies
* Compile and maintain departmental daily/monthly statistical reporting data in accordance with stated deadlines
* Sort and date stamp department mail in accordance with the established staff rotation schedule
* Return mail processing
* Review assigned service request categories daily and respond/resolve in accordance with established time frames and member service standards
* Review all assigned reconciliations daily and maintain all supporting documentation for outstanding items and/or problem items on the reconciliation
* Research outstanding reconciliation items and follow up with appropriate areas to clear items in accordance with established time frames. (No aging items over 30 days)
* Adhere to all internal and external member service standards, providing effective member service to both internal and external customers
* Perform various IRA/HSA functions as assigned
* Handle account maintenance items related to Campus Connect, Smart Sense accounts
* Open and close member accounts, IRA accounts in accordance with member instructions, department procedure and applicable regulations
* Mail member certificate maturity notification and processes member certificate renewal instructions in accordance with policies and department procedures
* Process all IRA transaction corrections to the member accounts and to IRS in accordance with department procedures and IRS regulations
* Maintain credit union IRA/ HSA member files ensuring timely filing of all transaction Documentation
* Ensure proper IRA paperwork is received in-house prior to the settlement of any deceased members IRA
* Collaborates with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient completion of tasks and duties without an impact to Account Operations
* Provide and embrace ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement for Credit Union
* Strong understanding of DNA new account opening process for New Members / Existing Members
* Process new online membership applications and additional share applications via Meridian Link, utilization of Sales Force for member onboarding.
* Opens all New Accounts by mail, adhering to account opening process and enhances due Diligence
* Opens all New Organization and Specialty accounts. Enhanced due diligence during account opening to include review of all documentation for Organization and Specialty accounts ##
** Minimum
Job Qualifications:
*** Associates degree is preferred, or minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in the level 1 position or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Ability to work in a dynamic, high monetary risk operations governed by established deadlines and regulatory requirements
* Ability to make effective decisions under pressure in a high monetary risk environment
* Sound organizational and time management skills
* Experience reviewing proposals and business cases, drawing logical conclusions from analysis
* High level of technology proficiency
* Experience working with reconciliations helpful
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly in creating and manipulating spreadsheets and creating reports from spreadsheets
** Starting Compensation:** $20.68-$24.82hr., plus a competitive benefits package
