The Department of Civil Service seeks Budgeting Analysts at three levels (Trainee 1, Trainee 2, and Senior) for the Office of Financial Administration in Albany, NY. The role involves managing cash receipts for the New York State Health Insurance Fund, processing financial transactions in statewide systems, analyzing cash flow, resolving billing issues, and preparing arrears reporting. This is a full-time permanent position offering telecommuting eligibility and competitive salary within the managerial/confidential class.
Keyqualifications:
- Four to six years of experience in budget estimation, justification, and expenditure control functions (depending on level)
- Bachelor's degree or higher (can substitute for years of experience)
- Experience with financial transaction processing and accounting systems
- Ability to reconcile financial records and analyze cash flow
- Strong communication skills for resolving billing and payment issues
