The New York State Senate seeks a Deputy Director of Legislative Operations to provide central staff support for the Senate Majority Conference on legislative procedures, operations, and budget matters. The role involves tracking review processes, providing training to legislative staff, preparing briefing materials, and coordinating with Senators' offices to ensure compliance with Constitutional Home Rule requirements. The position reports to the Director of Legislative Operations and the Legislative Counsel.
Keyqualifications
- Strong organizational and quantitative analysis skills
- Proficiency with Legislative Retrieval System (LRS) and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with spreadsheets and/or database systems
- Demonstrated legislative experience or Juris Doctor preferred
- Must live and work in the Capital Region of New York
