Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Non-Competitive Appointment:
Bachelor’s degree in education, Cultural Studies, Languages, Social Work, Public Administration or related field AND three or more years of experience in the coordination of services designed to assist individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). This experience must include cultural competency and knowledge of programs specifically designed for the needs of a culturally diverse population. In addition, must be proficient in at least one language other than English.
** Substitutions: four years of the specialized experience described above may substitute for the bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree in education, Cultural Studies, Languages, Social Work, Public Administration or related field may substitute for one year of the specialized experience.
