Position Summary:The incumbent will track contract articles, develop a database of past cases, provide training to field staff, act as consultant regarding PEF/NYS contract, and advise the contract negotiating committee.
* This position is based in Albany, NY and contingent for 1-year as there is a hold by the incumbent, pursuant to the PEF/USW collective bargaining agreement. *
- Must have a background in union / labor relations (grievance process, contract negotiations, Civil Service Law, State operations).
- Experience in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management to handle drafting, reviewing, and finalizing agreements.
- Previous experience in contract compliance or legal support is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) with staff, union members & elected members, and our executive team.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate contract terms and identify risks or opportunities.
Salary Range: $74,902.00 (minimum) - $ (maximum).
