Massage Therapist - Community Hospice – Per Diem
Community Hospice is looking for a qualified Massage Therapist to join our team in the Capital Region. This position will be per diem and current needs are estimated at 10-15 hours per week.

Work as a Massage Therapist for our Hospice Patients to all levels of care (hospitals, nursing homes, and in patients homes) in the Capital Region.
Responsibilities- The Massage Therapist is an important member of our health care team, serving Hospice patients in Home Care, Nursing Home or Inpatient settings.
- Responsible for direct care and evaluation of patients, with resultant formulation and implementation of treatment program as appropriate to the specific needs of that patient.
- Responsible for calling patients/caregivers to offer and schedule services
- Flexible Schedule
- A current license to practice as a Massage Therapist in the state of New York
- Graduate of an approved Massage Therapy Program
- 1 year professional experience in massage therapy discipline required. 2 years experience preferred.
- Previous home care and hospice experience preferred.
- Possession of a valid/clean New York State driver’s license and available automobile for travel throughout the service area.
- Experience working with computers, including laptops, email, cell phone and basic software programs along with confidence in providing electronic clinical notes and documentation regarding patient sessions.
- Availability to complete computer-based mandatory education requirements through the course of the year
- High level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
- Strong administrative and organizational skills to coordinate your own schedule
- Must be able to work independently
Pay Range: $24.85 - $31.00 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
