Location:

Albany, New York. Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Albany, New York. You will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care while benefiting from competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive clinical team.

• Conduct assessment of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations.
• Assist in positioning patients for procedures and ensure EKG electrodes and cardiac leads are properly placed.
• Assist physicians during procedures, including placement of catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, and other cardiac interventions.
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognize and respond to changes in cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms.
• Assist in arterial and/or venous sheath removal and transport patients to the recovery area.
• Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters during procedures; support post-procedure patient care and smooth transitions of care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment; ensure procedures are prepared with necessary supplies and stock.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians to provide seamless care.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Required Qualifications:

• One year’s recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
• Current ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• PALS or ENPC Certifications
• RCIS certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions; PC skills

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position; move equipment (50-100 lbs); push, pull, and bend
• Work effectively with a variety of personnel; maintain a professional attitude
• Ability to grasp and manipulate small devices; assist with procedures and equipment
• Ability to cope with frequent contact with the public and work under deadlines
