- Complete understanding of echo equipment including safety regulations and malfunctions.
- Secure order for test and identify proper patient.
- Obtain patient history and indications.
- Explain procedure to patient.
- Accurately enter data.
- Perform echocardiography to include M-mode, 2-D, Doppler as indicated.
- Assist MD and other staff with TEES, Stress echo, Pharmacology studies.
- Obtain proper views as indicated.
- Accurately measure and calculate all data.
- Prepare concise summary of study for interpreting cardiologist.
- Report significant findings.
- Ensure transmission of data.
- Answer questions within scope of responsibility for patient, staff and others.
- The Medical Imaging Sonographer must be ARDMS registry eligible. The Sonographer must have certificate of completion from a medical sonography program that is supported by the ARDMS. ARDMS registered preferred within 18 months of hire. BLS required within 30 days of hire.
$48.00/hr pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
