Job Summary

The Outreach Coordinator supports the growth and sustainability of the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) by developing referral relationships and increasing community awareness of clinic services in full compliance with OASAS. This role is sales-oriented and community-focused, emphasizing ethical outreach, education, and partnership development to improve access to medication-assisted treatment, including methadone services.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, cultivate, and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, detox programs, behavioral health providers, social service agencies, shelters, criminal justice partners, and other community stakeholders
• Actively generate new referral sources through approved outreach strategies that align with OASAS and OTP regulations
• Conduct professional, educational presentations on clinic services, admission processes, and collaboration opportunities to potential partners and community organizations
• Serve as a liaison between the OTP and external partners to ensure accurate, compliant communication regarding services and eligibility
• Collaborate with internal clinical, compliance, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure outreach strategies align with program policies and regulatory requirements
• Participate in community events, provider meetings, and networking opportunities to enhance clinic visibility and credibility
• Track outreach activities, referral data, and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Ensure all marketing and outreach materials are approved and compliant with OASAS and program policies
• Maintain current knowledge of OTP regulations, OASAS guidance, and ethical standards related to substance use disorder treatment

Sales & Community Focus (Compliance-Driven)

• Drive referral growth through relationship-based, ethical outreach
• Balance business development goals with patient-centered, recovery-oriented messaging
• Build long-term partnerships grounded in trust, transparency, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, public health, social work, or related field preferred
• Experience in healthcare outreach, business development, or sales; experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health strongly preferred
• Familiarity with OTP operations and OASAS regulations preferred
• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally

Work Environment

• Primarily field-based with regular visits to referral sources and community partners
• Office work for reporting, planning, and collaboration
