• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
• Ability to complete the orientation and training. We have different options to choose from that will meet your schedule.
• 2 years of current experience working in an acute setting (hospital not nursing home or rehab). Must be RT licensed.

Registered Respiratory Therapist who is responsible for performing various therapeutic procedures including advanced practice procedures such as, but not restricted to operating balloon pumps, working in NICU, performing Pulmonary Function testing, “PFT”, etc.

Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision and guiding behaviors of Trinity Health. Provides professional leadership in the delivery of patient care. Uses "AIDET" principles when interfacing/treating every patient. Uses "Managing Up" and "Key Words at Key Times" to communicate effectively. Serves as a consultant, resource person, and role model within the health system committees or work groups. Maintains confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines.

Facilitates good rapport, approaches conflict constructively, identifies problems, offers solutions, and participates in resolution. Maintains safe respiratory therapy practices and alerts management of safety issues.

Performs all duties of a Respiratory Therapist per AARC guidelines, obtains and maintains competencies per RT II orientation. Examples include dealing with cardiopulmonary arrest, emergency situations, patient rounds, ensuring treatments follow physician orders and protocols. Maintains equipment, suggests therapy changes, demonstrates knowledge of oxygen shutdown, reviews policies, prioritizes conflicting requests, provides high quality patient care, demonstrates annual unit competencies, participates in educational programs, facilitates instruction for staff or students, and performs other duties as assigned.

• Completes Health Stream yearly on a timely basis per Trinity Health standards.
• Responsible for own professional education and maintains log of activities.

Graduate of a two year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program:
Registry eligible. Must hold current RRT credential and valid BLS and ACLS certifications.

Pay Range: $42.67.00 (not including applicable differentials and travel stipend). Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
