Essential Functions:
The following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

• Responsible for cleaning of corridors, guest areas, service areas and linen closets.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop carpets and floors.
• Dust, brush, polish and vacuum furniture as needed.
• Disinfect bathroom stalls, counter tops, toilets and urinals. Restock all bathroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
• Clean all glass surfaces (windows, doors, table tops, etc.).
• Carry all trash and broken-down cardboard boxes to dumpsters.
• Deliver cots and cribs to guest rooms.
• Report lost and found items, maintenance problems or special room problems to Executive Housekeeper.
• Mop vending machine areas and keep machines clean.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas (hallways, laundry room, chemical rooms).
• Assist co-workers when your help is needed. Clean rooms as needed.
• Provide information to guests about hotel services, facilities and other amenities.
• Listen and respond professionally to guests’ requests or complaints.
• Show up for work in a clean, pressed uniform with nametag. Arrive at work each day with a positive attitude and maintain that attitude throughout the workday.
• If you must have an unscheduled day off, it is your responsibility to find someone to replace yourself on the schedule.
• Check with supervisor for any additional work before punching out.
• Represent MCHG in a positive and beneficial way when making contacts within the community.

Specific Job

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk a total of 8 hours in a day.
• Must be able to lift 35–50 lbs.
• Must be able to carry 20–35 lbs. up to a distance of 200 ft.
• Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, grasp, push and pull.
