Position Summary

The Windows Administrator will provide enterprise-level system administration, deployment, and support services for a large-scale government environment consisting of 40,000+ devices. This role requires deep expertise in Windows Server platforms, SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policy, with a strong focus on application deployment, automation, troubleshooting, and third-level support. The ideal candidate will assist in system architecture, planning, testing, and deployment while ensuring adherence to best practices and operational standards.

Required

Experience
  • 7 years of experience in application deployment and troubleshooting within a large enterprise environment (40,000+ devices) using:
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • Deployment reporting and stakeholder communication
  • 7 years of experience administering:
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2019–2025
  • Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Group Policy (GPO)
  • Active Directory (AD)
  • DNS, IIS
  • 7 years of experience assisting with architecting, planning, testing, and deploying enterprise Windows-based solutions.
  • 7 years of experience providing third-level (Tier
    3) support within SCCM environments, including defining and enforcing best-practice processes and procedures.
  • 7 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows system administration within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • 7 years of experience creating, running, and troubleshooting automation for:
  • SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012 site teardown
  • SCCM site builds
  • Enterprise management tasks across environments with 40,000+ devices
  • 3+ years of experience working with Active Directory infrastructure and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications using SCCM and MDT.
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server and Windows desktop environments.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for SCCM and Windows-related issues.
  • Assist in the architecture, planning, testing, and deployment of enterprise solutions.
  • Automate system administration tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Create deployment reports and communicate results to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure system stability, security, and compliance with government IT standards.
Education Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Application Development, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.

Compensation: $58.72 per hour
