Job Title: Salesforce Automation Engineer

Location: Albany, New York (50% Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Salesforce Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing Salesforce-based solutions that support program capabilities such as case management, eligibility determination, and citizen engagement. Working under the guidance of the Solution Architect, the engineer will translate architectural designs into secure, high‑performing, scalable Salesforce applications that meet agency requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and automating business processes and case management workflows using Salesforce declarative tools and programmatic solutions
• Configuring and customizing Salesforce applications to align with business needs
• Collaborating with architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver enterprise‑grade Salesforce solutions
• Ensuring solutions follow Salesforce best practices for performance, security, and maintainability

Mandatory Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working on complex projects, including 2+ years in a leadership role as a Salesforce Automation Engineer
• 7+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience across multiple Salesforce products, such as Service Cloud, Data Cloud, CRM, and Case Management
• 3+ years of experience configuring and customizing Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) as needed to automate business and case management processes

Desirable Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience integrating Salesforce with external business applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and middleware platforms such as Mule Soft or other integration tools
• 1+ year of experience with Salesforce data modeling and security models
• 6+ months of experience configuring Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
• 6+ months of experience implementing public sector case management solutions
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer certification
