As a CGS principal-level Virtualization and Cloud engineer, you will be required to have an understanding of the design, configuration, and management of an enterprise using VMware vSphere 6.5 – 6.7. You should have an understanding of cloud technologies and interoperability components between on-premise virtualization and cloud services as well as modern solutions of Hyperconverged infrastructure and software-defined storage to support the technical solutions task order for the Executive Office for the U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA) and the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices (USAOs).

Skills and attributes for success:

• Setup, configuration, and deployment of virtualization systems and scripting technologies for high availability, including VMware Center, ESXi, Horizon View VDI, Power Shell, Power
  
  CLI.
• Improve backup/Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations.
• Build & maintain Windows 10 images for VDI.
• Assess and anticipate infrastructure and technology improvements and recommend appropriate actions.
• Follow an SDLC to capture requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy technical solutions from ‘cradle-to-grave’ using proper change control processes within a large-scale enterprise.
• Identify, test, and perform hardware and software configuration updates, maintaining an optimized, stable VMware environment.
• Perform work independently, exercising considerable latitude in technical objectives.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with VMware Horizon View 7.x, vSphere 6.5/6.7, Composer, Unified Access Gateway, App Volumes, UEM, and Power
  
  CLI.
• Significant (4+ years) experience using VMware App Volumes, Horizon View, vSphere products.
• Experience in requirements gathering, system design, testing, and documentation.
• Hands-on system engineering experience in VMware Horizon View, App Volumes, UEM, OMIVV, Dell OME, Cisco UCS, Windows 10, Power Shell scripting.
• Understanding of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, networking, firewalls, backup and recovery.
• Ability to create reports using Power
  
  BI or similar, and to generate trending reports for large environments.
• Understanding of Cloud infrastructure such as Azure, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (Nutanix, VSAN).
• Knowledge of ITIL principles, architectural design, hardware/software updates, and frameworks like TOGAF.
• Preferred:
  Experience with VMware vCloud Suite, vRealize Operations, vSAN, and government software development policies.
• Federal security clearance is required.
