Position SummaryThe Principal Clinical Content - Physician (Clinical Content Architect, Advanced Clinical Decision Support) is a physician responsible for transforming clinical content created by Up To Date Deputy Editors into structured, high-fidelity decision trees used for workflow-integrated clinical decision support (CDS). This role serves as a bridge between clinical expertise, technical structure, and informatics needs, ensuring that all CDS decision pathways are accurate, clinically sound, logically consistent, and ready for downstream conversion into executable CDS tools.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented physician with strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to translate narrative medical content into precise decision logic, branching structures, and associated clinical actions (e.g., orders, instructions). A background in clinical informatics is preferred. This is a hands-on, internally-focused role centered on constructing structured clinical content within a no-code authoring platform, with additional collaboration alongside engineering teams to report issues and support improvements to the tool.
