Position: IT Specialist (Oracle, MS Access, Affordable Care Act)
Location: City of Albany

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Design, develop, test, and tune comprehensive MS Access/Oracle databases
  • Collaborate with users to troubleshoot issues and gather requirements
  • Maintain documentation of changes to functional and technical specifications
  • Create and thoroughly test enhancements, interfaces, workflows, and reports
  • Assist in developing training materials related to the Access database implementation
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • 72 months of experience in application maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for MS Access/Oracle systems
  • 48 months of experience working directly on the Affordable Care Act at the NYS health exchange or other state or federal health exchanges
  • 72 months of experience in gathering, documenting, and tracking changes of functional and technical requirements for database development and maintenance
  • 84 months of experience in gathering requirements and developing and testing customized queries in MS Access/Oracle
  • 84 months of experience in gathering requirements and developing and testing customized reports in MS Access/Oracle
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with advanced database management techniques and best practices
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
  • Skills in training and supporting users on database systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
