Remote with quarterly travel to Guam
Salary: $130,000 - $175,000
We are seeking an experienced Cisco Certified Network Engineer who will support our Guam client. This role will be responsible for performing enterprise network configuration updates and modifications necessary for the implementation of various enterprise-level OTECH improvement plans, including the subset of required changes or modifications to enable the overall Medicaid project needs where applicable. Prior State experience supporting Medicaid-related projects is highly preferred.
Duties- Implement, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Perform network configuration updates, upgrades, and optimizations to support operational improvements and project deliverables.
- Monitor network performance and availability; troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching, DNS/DHCP, and VPN issues to resolution.
- Support network security efforts including segmentation, access control, firewall rule updates, and secure remote access.
- Participate in change management by creating implementation plans, maintenance window steps, validation procedures, and rollback plans.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, IP addressing plans, device inventories, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network readiness for deployments, migrations, and system integrations.
- Support incident response by conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
- Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education.
- Cisco CCNA (or higher) certification.
- Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+) or similar.
- 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- 1+ year of experience supporting users and/or endpoints within enterprise networks.
- 3+ year of experience administering network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers/APs).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain 99.9%+ network/service availability through proactive monitoring, change control, and incident management.
- Required travel quarterly to Guam.
