IT Project Manager
NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Project Manager to work in Albany, New York. The role is responsible for managing the quality assurance function for the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) project, overseeing the client’s contractor, and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.
OverviewThe Senior Project Manager has overall responsibility for the QA function, overseeing the client’s contractor and managing plans, schedules, and control of all QA team activities in collaboration with the client project management office. The role ensures appropriate resources are available to accomplish tasks, deliverables, and other project-associated activities.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure quality integration into large projects, programs, or significant segments of complex projects.
- Collaborate with the client and team members to fully document business requirements in BRDs or similar documents and meet quality standards.
- Assess the quality of contractor‑submitted deliverables such as project schedules, status reports, and RAID logs.
- Lead the QA team throughout the SDLC, including QA for initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks to produce solution deliverables.
- Apply SDLC methodologies and frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, Dev Ops, Dev Sec Ops ) in cloud or on‑prem environments.
- Anticipate potential quality‑related problems and manage risks, issues, escalations, and communications.
- Challenge the validity of procedures and processes as appropriate to drive continuous improvement.
- Review contract deliverables from contractors, including invoices, SLAs, and replacement staff resumes.
- Manage QA team assignments and schedules to ensure timely review of submitted artifacts.
- Facilitate information sharing among the QA project team to identify risks, issues, and opportunities related to system interoperability.
- Accurately report status to the client using QA standard operating procedures and templates.
- Evaluate contractor‑reported burn‑rates and budget actuals against planned figures.
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressive project management experience, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and PMBOK‑described tasks.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience applying PMI project management practices to quality assurance projects.
- Minimum five (5) years managing teams of ten or more staff.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with MS Project, including baselining, progress tracking, resource usage, and schedule reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
- Willingness to be on the client site in Albany, New York, 50% of the time.
- Current PMI certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PfMP, RMP, ACP, PBA, PMO‑CP, or PMO‑CC).
- Two (2) years of experience leading project management on healthcare systems projects or programs.

The starting pay range for this remote role is $75,062–$150,000, with compensation dependent on location, experience, technical skills, and qualifications.
