Scope of ProjectProvide Infrastructure/People Soft Administration support for current People Soft SLMS and suggested enhancements as part of the project. This role will support People Soft infrastructure architecture, administration, upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing operational support of the Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS) environment.
Responsibilities- Research, document, and guide the People Soft infrastructure design/layout based on People Soft best practices for implementation and upgrades.
- Support installation, configuration, and application triage of various People Soft software components including Web Logic, Tuxedo, Elasticsearch, and Oracle Database.
- Perform administration and support for newly required People Soft environments using the latest technology stack.
- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with agencies and technical support teams to develop technically sound solutions.
- Produce enterprise-level solution architectures aligned with business objectives and strategic direction.
- Research, resolve, and test system configurations.
- Provide analysis, research, and support for existing legacy People Soft applications.
- Support proposed People Soft enhancement initiatives and modernization efforts.
- Develop procedural documentation and perform knowledge transfer activities including job shadowing and written documentation.
- 84 months of system administration experience in Oracle People Soft HR & HCM 9.x or higher.
- Experience with installation, configuration, tuning, upgrades, patching, and code migrations in Unix/Solaris/Linux environments.
- 84 months of experience with People Tools 8.49 or higher including installation, upgrading, patching, tuning, and configuration.
- 84 months of experience performing People Tools and People Soft application upgrades using PUM and Change Assistant.
- 60 months of experience with Web Logic and Tuxedo including troubleshooting, installation, configuration, upgrades, and High Availability (HA).
- 60 months of experience with Oracle Database 10g or higher for creating and maintaining People Soft databases.
- Strong expertise with Oracle, People Soft, Linux, Unix, Web Logic, Tuxedo, Elasticsearch, and enterprise architecture.
- Ability to provide guidance to large technical teams and function as a senior technical architect.
- Experience supporting large-scale government environments.
- Experience with enterprise application modernization projects.
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
- Experience working in highly secure environments requiring fingerprint-based background checks.
