Statistical Assistant
Pay Range: $20hr - $24hr
The Statistical Assistant will support data governance initiatives and perform advanced data analysis to drive insights and reporting. The role involves working with complex datasets, developing documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and effective data usage. The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise with strong communication skills to support business and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in data governance processes including data quality and data cataloging activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, collect updates, and prepare status reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to progress data initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare data definitions and business requirements.
- Develop documentation including guides, reports, summaries, and meeting notes.
- Facilitate meetings and contribute to data governance forums.
- Compile and compute data using statistical formulas for analytical studies.
- Prepare charts and graphs for reporting and analysis.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Automate manual processes and reporting using technical tools.
- Collaborate with business users to develop analytical strategies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Strong data analysis and data visualization skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including formulas and macros.
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Experience with data governance and metadata management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and data technologies.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data governance.
- 5+ years of experience in statistical analysis and data computation.
Qualification And
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Should Have:
- Experience with data cataloging and data quality tools.
- Experience working with modern cloud technologies.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
