Business Analyst

Manages small to medium-scale business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution

Senior Level 5-7 years:
Candidate is able to work without assistance and can provide leadership for others; may have advanced education

Responsibilities:

• Develop and/or maintain system documentation including business requirements, training plans, test plans, quality assurance and contingency operations plans, and reports.
• Provide expertise and hands-on participation in the following activities:
• Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct JAD sessions or group meetings, review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts.
• Analyze and document business processes (both ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes) utilizing business process mapping tools to effectively document the processes for the customer.
• Develop or maintain system requirements in detailed, clear and well organized functional documents (business requirements documents, business or system use cases, reports) and/or process flow diagrams.
• Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases. Develop and revise, as required, training or user acceptance testing plans.
• Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Coordinate user acceptance testing.by tracking and managing end user testing efforts.
• Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required.
• Development or revision of existing user guides, quick reference guides and/or other help files for the end user community.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years experience eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders and system artifacts.
• Minimum of 5 years experience developing/maintaining test plans and detailed test cases, executing those tests, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects.
• Minimum of 5 years experience documenting and managing business requirements.
