Seeking a Network and Cybersecurity Lead to support the design, modernization, and security of critical transportation infrastructure environments. This role will be responsible for defining current and future‑state network architectures, cybersecurity strategies, and technology roadmaps supporting Regional Traffic Management Centers (TMCs), the Statewide Transportation Information Coordination Center (STICC), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Operational Technology (OT), and enterprise business environments.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in network architecture, routing, cybersecurity design, vulnerability management, network segmentation, and critical infrastructure protection.
Required Skills- Extensive experience in Network Architecture, Engineering, and Design
- Cybersecurity Architecture and Security Engineering expertise
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, WAN Connectivity, and High Availability Design
- Experience with OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP routing protocols
- Network Segmentation and Zero Trust Architecture
- Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and Secure Remote Access Solutions
- Vulnerability Assessments and Remediation Planning
- Security Architecture Reviews and Risk Analysis
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Platforms
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Integration
- Network Access Control (NAC) SolutionsDNS Security and Infrastructure Security Controls
- Architecture Documentation and Technical Design Standards
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) experience
- Operational Technology (OT) security experience
- Transportation, Government, or Critical Infrastructure experience
- CISM, CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, or similar certifications
- Experience supporting large-scale network modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of NIST, Zero Trust, and Critical Infrastructure Security frameworks
