Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: Anticipated 8/12/26
Hourly Rate: W2 - $55 - $70/hour

OverviewWe are seeking a SharePoint Knowledge Management Lead who will support our NYS client. This role will design, build, and maintain a SharePoint intranet and call center knowledge base, including related Power Apps information architecture, navigation, content readiness, permissions, and operational usability. The consultant will coordinate stakeholders, content owners, and technical partners to improve findability, support phased migration, and ensure the solution is ready for efficient use during live calls.
Duties- Design, build, and maintain the SharePoint intranet and call center knowledge base, including Power Apps information architecture, navigation, and page structure.
- Facilitate stakeholder review cycles and incorporate feedback to improve usability and adoption.
- Maintain an inventory of SharePoint pages, sections, and knowledge content.
- Coordinate content intake, population, organization, formatting, and readiness across contributors and content owners.
- Ensure knowledge content is findable and structured for efficient use during live call center interactions.
- Track and resolve content dependencies, review bottlenecks, work sequencing, and handoffs across technical partners and internal stakeholders.
- Translate call center operational needs into documented requirements for navigation, search behavior, usability, accessibility, availability, performance, and user volume.
- Recommend and support design decisions that reduce navigation friction and improve findability across support levels.
- Support phased migration planning to reduce duplication and clarify where support-level knowledge should reside over time.
- Define role-based access and editing permissions, including administrator, editor, and read-only tiers, and support resolution of permissions and access issues.
- Produce walkthrough materials and recordings to support stakeholder review, onboarding, and operational readiness.
- Maintain meeting documentation, action items, and status updates to keep stakeholders aligned and delivery predictable.
- 6+ years of relevant experience supporting SharePoint, knowledge management, intranet, content management, business analysis, or related digital workplace initiatives.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining SharePoint intranets or knowledge bases, including information architecture, navigation, page structure, and content organization.
- Experience defining requirements for SharePoint and connected Power Apps components, including search behavior, usability, accessibility, availability, performance, and user volume.
- Experience coordinating content intake, review cycles, stakeholder feedback, dependencies, and handoffs across technical and business teams.
- Experience defining and troubleshooting role-based SharePoint access controls and permissions.
- Ability to develop walkthrough materials, recordings, meeting documentation, action items, and status communications.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, organization, documentation, and communication skills.
- 100% onsite in Albany, NY.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
